Maturity is realizing the only person you're in competition with is yourself.

Maturity is realizing the only person you're in competition with is yourself.

I was listening to a podcast and this group of women were talking about how we've glorified exhaustion and made it about "who's more tired." When actually, the Lord has called us to rest, and being busy doesn't mean being productive. I've learned that there's no actual prize for being the most tired, or finishing 20 loads of laundry in one day. Zero prize, and yet we fight for this invisible trophy like that's the solution for satisfaction???

I am most productive when I say no to a few busy things, to say yes to my home and family. I am most fulfilled when I'm not on social media trying to keep up with "influencers" because I don't actually want the clothes.. I want the fun and spunky personality of the girl wearing the clothes who took a 30 second video being happy and probably turns the camera off to face the reality of her own insecurities and struggles.

We want the oil without the crushing. We want the rainbow without the rain. We want the healing without the pain. We have become so comfortable with convenience that we'll settle for microwave miracles when the Lord has called us to crockpot communion.

The Lord has a feast at the table for you and it's BETTER than a Big Mac. He has rest for the weary, and joy for the mourning. He has an abundance of grace for the grumbling. He has acceptance for the rejected. He has peace for the anxiety filled. He is light for the darkness. He is Hope for the hopeless. He is Jehovah Jireh for the ones in need.

You'll never ever leave His table hungry. He has all you need, and He IS all you need. There is fullness in Jesus! So whenever you see someone else living "better than you," be reminded that you're invited to a table that has an abundance of everything you need. And anything you need, can't be found on the internet.. it's found in Jesus!

If you're not better than you were yesterday, it's because you're focused on being better than sally on social media. Turn your eyes upon Jesus friend, His gaze will keep you grounded. ❤ ️ #MinutesWithMandy #DareToBelieve
