Happy Monday!
Happy Monday!
I tried to find a kind way to word this, but the Word needs no sugarcoating. If He makes it plain in His word, I'll make it plain as I receive the Word.
"We cannot expect child of God benefits, with child of Satan behavior."
1 John 3:6-10 makes it plain.
"By this the children of God and the children of the devil are clearly identified: anyone who does not practice righteousness [who does not seek God's will in thought, action, and purpose] is not of God, nor is the one who does not [unselfishly] love his [believing] brother."
1 John 3 : 10 AMP
I'm in no way saying you can't be a child of God if you sin. I'm saying if you've felt distant from God, it may be time to evaluate. What music are you feeding your spirit? What are you feeding your body? What are you feeding your mind?
Maybe He told you to put down that drink, and you haven't obeyed. Maybe He told you to forgive that person, and you've let pride be Lord. Maybe He's asked you to lay something down, and your grip won't let go.
It's not that God left, it's that what you're doing isn't right. He will go where He is invited. If you are knowingly behaving like the world, and expect for God to come through... then you want a genie, not a God.
He is patient, kind, loving, merciful, present, and available. He loves you. He wants communion. He thought you were worth dying for. He isn't angry at you. Come back to Jesus. To love. To light. To friendship. To His Lordship. To His peace. To His joy.
I fall short. I need this reminder. I need these truths. Self reflection is the only way to combat self destruction.
You are seen. You are loved. You are known by Father God. #MinutesWithMandy #DareToBelieve
