This weather has been too good not to sit outside and enjoy. I noticed a few days ago Benjamin would go to our backyard tree and pull the leaves off. He's been working real hard on this project... so I finally asked him what his plan was and why he was doing that. Without hesitation Benjamin says "well, I want it to be winter already.. and if the leaves come down then winter will come."

So I kindly explained that's not really how that works, and we giggled about it.

Aren't we the same in some ways? We get weary in the waiting and take matters into our own hands. As if we could change our current season faster if we pull all the leaves? Most days I wish it was that simple.. but the reality is that there's a natural process that must take place in order for the supernatural to come forth.

You don't get the spring time without going through the winter. There's a process. Our God is all about order and the process and we see it throughout the Bible. There's no resurrection without the cross. There's no miracle without the need. There's no rainbow promise without the building of the boat. There's a process.

So if you find yourself pulling leaves these days, it's time to get your hands off and trust the timing of the Lord. HIS ways are perfect. HIS timing is perfect. HIS plans for you are perfect. HIS love for you is perfect. I know it's hard to wait. I know it's hard to trust. I know it's hard to believe.. but I challenge you to go back to the moment that God pulled you out of the pit!

Go back to the moment He provided that miracle, that time He came through for your finances! Remember when He was right on time! He's still that same God! He has enough power for the next miracle, and the one after that! He is faithful! He sees. He knows. He cares. He loves you too much to give you what you think you need right now. Trust. The.
